As I think back, I cannot remember having chocolate pie growing up, until I moved to Tennessee and had my mother-in-law’s. Probably because many people in my family donโt like chocolate, crazy I know, but they are still lovable! Anyway, I digress, it was really good! So a few years later I decided to find a good recipe and start making them for holidays. Just like any dessert, they are laden with so much sugar. I wanted a chocolate pie that I would be able to taste the chocolate with just a little sweetness. I love using cacao powder when a recipes calls for coca, the flavor taste so much better.
I can’t say it’s a healthy food, but I can say it won’t put you in a sugar coma. Unless, you decided to eat the whole pie at one sitting! I believe itโs the easiest pie Iโve ever made. There is not pre-cooking before baking. Just add all ingredients into a bowl whisk and pour into pie shell and bake until done.
Ingredients
1 uncooked pie shell
1/4 cup honey
2 eggs, room temperature
3/4 cups coconut milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup cacao powder
3 Tbs. coconut oil, melted
Directions
Put all ingredients into a medium size bowl and whisk until smooth. Add filling to pie shell and bake at 350ยฐ for 45 minutes.

Looks delish!
